Welcome to J.R. Maxwell's, located in the heart of historic Bath, Maine 'The City of Ships'
At J R Maxwell & Co., homemade is not just an advertising ploy. We try to make everything we can here in house. All of our salad dressings are made here, our soups are homemade, and our original chowder is famous up and down the seacoast. Our homemade sauces include Newberg, supreme, tartar, cocktail, and an Alfredo sauce to die for. Our seafood is fried in our own beer batter and our French onion Soup recipe is 40 years old. Our black angus steaks are all cut here at Maxwells. We even cook our own potato chips and make our own cheese sticks and onion rings. Our homemade deserts include chocolate cake, Key Lime pie, frozen Grasshopper and peanut butter pie, Carrot Cake, and Indian Pudding. We are an independent restaurant, not a chain. When you come in, we want you to become a regular customer. Yes, we are the place where everybody knows your name. Downstairs is the place where all the locals go, the Boat builders Pub. Featuring a big screen TV, pool tables, and the atmosphere of the local pub, it is definitely a 'must stop' if you want to experience the 'City of Ships'. J R Maxwells, "the restaurant in downtown Bath", is open 7 days a week for great lunches and superb dinners. Quality food and service can be found everyday at J R Maxwells, located at 122 Front St. in the heart of downtown Bath, ME. |
